Spiritual Gifts and common good.
The greatest Gift-which the Holy Spirit gives us is the conviction and readiness to declare that
‘Jesus is Lord’.
There are varieties of Gifts and all Gifts are the manifestations of the same Spirit, and are
given to each one for the common good.
To one- wisdom
To another- knowledge
To another- faith
To another- gifts of healing
To another- the working of miracles
To another- prophecy
To another- discernment of spirits
To another- varieties of tongues
To another- interpretation of tongues
The Same Spirit who produces all these Gifts, distributing them individually to each person as
He wishes.

Distinguish between the Gifts – Wisdom, Understanding and with Knowledge.
Also between Fear of Lord and Piety
Wisdom- is good Judgement( King Solomon). It is again the choice between or determination
of Yes or No.
Understanding- conviction, insight(Did you understand?)
Knowledge- storage of informations and its application(preaching or talk- based on the
understanding of Words, giving a presentation.
Fear of Lord -Reverence and keeping of God’s Commandments.
Again by which we Align our will with God’s Will or shielding ourselves with God’s plan.
Piety-commitment to a Spiritual and Devotional life and attaining a personal holiness(attending
Holy Mass, reciting Rosary, alms-giving..).
